Rachel Rice returns to Casa Mañana to understudy “Truvy” and “M’Lynn” in Steel Magnolias! This is her 8th production at Casa, and she is so grateful to be back under the Dome! Her favorite scene is the opening, where we learn how much “Truvy” prioritizes the ladies of the neighborhood, causing Rachel to wish “Truvy” was her hairstylist! Rachel shares her connection to the show, saying, “I was raised by southern women who definitely remind me of the ladies in Steel Magnolias!” Not only that, but she says that she relates to both “Truvy” and “M’Lynn” because she’s a “chatterbox” like “Truvy” and finds her relationship with her 3 daughters to be similar to “M’Lynn” and “Shelby’s.” Rachel would name her hypothetical hair salon “Snip in a Snap” and, thanks to her head full of curls, she has rocked the Shirley Temple haircut her whole life!
