We welcome Phillip Giandiletti back to Casa Mañana for his fourth show – Disney’s Newsies. Phillip stars as “Romeo” and understudies “Davey!” His previous credits under the Dome include Evita, Hello, Dolly! and The Producers.
After learning to dance at five years old, Phillip knew he wanted to be a performer because of the emotions it conjures. Dancing his way through middle school, high school and college, Phillip graduated with a BPA in Dance Performance. “After graduation, I got my first professional gig doing Evita at Casa Mañana!”
His advice to aspiring artists and his younger self is, “It’s okay to fail.” He hopes readers find the biggest takeaway: “It’s okay to mess up, make mistakes, take chances and learn from them.”
Philip’s greatest blessing is being surrounded by wonderful people, “My family, my partner and coworkers are all so influential in how happy I am with my life. My heart is so full and rich because of each of them!” We couldn’t be happier about the road he’s taken, which led him to our stage.
Don’t miss Phillip’s return to the stage – thru June 12. He says, “Alan Menken knows how to make a BOP! Every song in the show is a power anthem you can relate to.” “Once and For All” is one of his favorite numbers. Tickets are available here: https://casamanana.org/events/disneysnewsies/.
Check out his dog, Tilly. She’s a Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mix, named after the Orca, Tilly, at SeaWorld.
