FORT WORTH, Texas (November 12, 2024) – Casa Mañana is pleased to announce the appointment of Carmen Holmes as Chief Development Officer as of November 2024. Holmes joins Casa Mañana with three decades of experience leading strategic development initiatives and garnering significant fundraising results. A non-profit veteran, Holmes brings a strong commitment to advancing Casa Mañana’s mission through thoughtful and strategic donor cultivation.
“I am thrilled to join the Casa Mañana leadership team as Chief Development Officer,” Holmes said. “My goal is always to align the mission with those who have a passion for supporting the incredible experiences we provide to the community – ensuring that everyone has access to quality theater and the arts.”
Holmes’ hiring comes at a pivotal time for Casa Mañana. Although the theatre has a more than 65-year history in Fort Worth, the organization has seen significant financial growth in recent years. Holmes aims to advance this success under her leadership. President & Executive Producer Wally Jones highlighted the significance of Holmes’s new role in a statement.
“We are thrilled to welcome Carmen Holmes to our Casa team as our Chief Development Officer,” Jones said. “Carmen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Development department. Casa has seen enormous growth over the last five years, and we look forward to having Carmen help us continue to expand our programs for the benefit of all in North Texas.”
Before Casa Mañana, Holmes gained extensive leadership experience at major non-profit organizations. Her career began with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), where she successfully led national programs and initiated the region’s impact giving program – one of many contributions she made during her nearly 20-year career with the organization. From there, Holmes joined the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) where she served as Executive Director of the Dallas and Fort Worth Chapters, achieving significant revenue growth for each geographic area in D/FW. Most recently, Holmes served as Senior Vice President of Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity.
Carmen and her husband have lived in Tarrant County for more than 25 years and they have three adult children, two dogs and two cats. Carmen enjoys cycling and singing in her free time. She has a background in theater from her time at Stephens College and has a strong connection to the arts.
