Evan Lennon is “Mush” in Disney’s Newsies! This is his Casa Mañana debut and first time to star in the production. He says, “Newsies was the first show I saw on Broadway almost 10 years ago. I remember seeing the cast on stage and deciding that was what I wanted to do with my life. To be a part of this show is incredibly special, I can’t even put it into words.”
“I have been doing theatre since I was nine years old. I just graduated with my BFA in Musical Theatre from The University of Oklahoma!” Some of his favorite credits are “Arpad” (She Loves Me), “Otto” (Spring Awakening) and “Eugene” (Grease).
Without his mom Evan wouldn’t be where he is today! “She’s an actress herself and both of my parents were always supportive of my dreams. She helped me navigate my development as a performer to where I am today.”
Finally, Evan says, “Embrace the things that make [you] unique! This isn’t a one size fits all industry, everyone has their own path!”
