Summer 2024 Counselor & CIT Application

Counselors at Casa Mañana spend part of their summer behind-the-scenes of a professional theatre, helping teaching artists and Casa Mañana staff create an amazing experience for our Campers!

Camp Counselors must be at least 18 years old as of June 1, 2024 and be enrolled in an undergraduate program or have graduated in the past two years. Counselors will:
– Lead a team of campers
– Be present and actively involved backstage at all performances
– Develop practical skills and model professional behavior
– Explore multiple aspects of theatre education
– Be present and actively involved backstage at all performances
– Be mentored by and network with a range of theatre professionals
– Assist with student drop-off and pick-up
– Coordinate and collaborate with Directors, Instructors, and Staff on class exercises, rehearsals, and projects
– Lead and oversee a small team of Counselors-in-Training

Counselors-in-Training (CITs) must be between 15 and 17 years old as of June 1, 2024. CITs will:
– Assist Counselors in leading a team of students through camp
– Serve as the backstage crew during performances
– Demonstrate a passion for performance, learning and teaching others
– Be mentored by and network with a range of theatre professionals
