
Sarah Powell
Spotlight Music Teacher (Tuesdays)
Sarah has over 15 years of experience as a voice instructor and arts educator. With her advanced training in vocal pedagogy and years of experience on stage as a performer, Sarah possesses a unique set of skills to help her students reach their goals. She currently maintains a private voice studio in addition to her work as a Teaching Artist with Broadway Dallas and Casa Mañana Studios. Sarah is also a seasoned performer of many genres, from opera to musical theater to cabaret. She has appeared on the stages of many metroplex theaters, including Casa Mañana, Lyric Stage, Uptown Players, Firehouse Theater, Stolen Shakespeare Guild and Pegasus Theatre. Favorite roles include Bea Bottom in Something Rotten, Margaret in The Light in the Piazza, Ilona in She Loves Me and Lilli/Kate in Kiss Me, Kate. Sarah is also Executive Producer of SheDFW, a branch of SheNYC Arts, and a guest host of the acclaimed Broadway on a Tuesday at Alexander’s, in Dallas. She is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill (BA-Music) and The New England Conservatory (MM-Voice).
