Rebecca Magnus

Rebecca Miller Magnus has been teaching Theatre for over 17 years, joining the Casa Mañana Theatre team in 2023. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Theatre Education from Ashland University and since has directed and performed at a variety of theaters around the world, including Ireland, Chicago, Ohio, and across DFW. Since “becoming a Texan”, she has taught and directed students at Casa Mañana Theatre, Artisan Theatre Center, the Creative Arts Theatre & School (CATS), Theatre Arlington, and a variety of private and charter schools. In that time, she served a three-year stint as the Education Director for CATS before deciding that her true passion was working with young students (not doing paperwork).

Although you’ll most regularly find her teaching Elementary Theatre at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts, Magnus is the Co-Director of FWAFA’s High School International Thespians Troupe 6391.

Magnus feels blessed and honored to teach such wonderful and talented children here at Casa Mañana Theatre.

She is the proud mother of two creative and energetic children and would like to thank her family for always supporting her, and for her “ex-theatre kid” husband Michael Magnus.
