This class lets young performers blast off on an adventure! Your child will explore the art of performance through storytelling on the historic Casa Mañana Mainstage.
ACTING
Acting 1
Dive into the world of acting! In this class, students work on physical storytelling, creating stage pictures, and character development as they explore risk-taking and the power of bold choices. The spring semester focuses on ensemble acting; including improv, scene work, and collaboration.
Acting 2
Strengthen your skills by studying acting fundamentals, improvisation, physicality, and more!
PLEASE NOTE: You may only take this class if you have done one of the following: taken Acting 1 for one year at CMSMT, taken a year-long acting class elsewhere, or performed in 3 or more productions.
ACTING 3

We’re putting on a play! In this class, students in grades 7 and up will utilize their acting skills to put on a One-Act play at the end of each semester. Students will learn how to work with their peers, create their character, and much more.

Dance to the rhythm of the music in this dynamic course! Learn physicality, basic dance vocabulary and get an instruction to multiple musical theatre dance styles.
INTERMEDIATE DANCE

This class enhances technique, performance, and storytelling through Broadway-style dance. Students develop strength, flexibility and precision while learning dynamic choreography.
PLEASE NOTE: You may only take this class if you have done one of the following: taken Broadway Dance for three years at CMSMT or taken a dance class elsewhere for at least three years.
ADVANCED DANCE

This class teaches complex work across the floor in various styles, plus warm-up, technique, and body awareness. This professional-level class is open to students in 9th grade and up.

INTRO TO TAP
This beginner-friendly class introduces the fundamentals of tap dance. Students will learn basic steps, timing and technique while exploring how tap enhances storytelling in musical theatre.
BALLET
Ballet provides an essential foundation for all styles of dance. This class will focus on developing solid technique, correct alignment, and a clear understanding of ballet terminology.
THEATRE FOR HOMESCHOOLERS

In this playful and imaginative class, young performers explore the world of theatre through games, storytelling, movement, and creative expression. Students will build confidence, teamwork, and communication skills while bringing characters and stories to life on stage.

GROUP VOCAL
Through a combination of functional vocal exercises, song interpretation, and performance-based activities, students will discover their unique voice while building confidence and stage presence. Explore breath control, healthy vocal production, and physical flexibility to enhance overall artistry.

APPRENTICE PROGRAM
Casa Mañana’s Apprentice Program offers rigorous, professional musical theatre training to the most dedicated young performers in the DFW area. Led by seasoned experts, the program equips students with the skills needed to be successful in the industry. Courses in the Apprentice Program are by audition only.
APPRENTICE COMPANY

The Apprentice Company Spotlight Class is a year-long, process-based course that focuses on both technique and performance. Our professional teaching artists will instruct students through workshops focused on acting, dance, and voice technique. Throughout the semester students will also have the chance to learn from guest instructors — industry professionals who are actively working in the field. At the end of each semester, students demonstrate their skills on the Mainstage at our Spotlight Showcase.
Enrollment in the Apprentice Company Spotlight Class also includes the opportunity to attend Masterclasses taught by visiting performers.
Apprentice Company students receive special consideration for Casa Mañana Mainstage productions. Please Note: Enrollment in the class does not guarantee casting in the annual Apprentice Program Production.

Our All-Abilities program is designed specifically for youth and adults with special needs, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and/or social/sensory differences. We are happy to partner with Junior League of Fort Worth this year, providing volunteer and financial support for this one-of-a-kind program!
