Counselor-in-Training (CIT): Ages 15-17 

CITs assist Counselors in leading a team of students through camp and are backstage crew during performances. Successful applicants demonstrate a passion for performance, learning and teaching others. This is an unpaid internship. CIT positions are available for Camp Casa and Camp Casa Jr sessions. See Calendar for camp dates and times.  

Camp Counselors: Ages 18+
(Recent high school graduate, current undergraduate, or has graduated college within past 2 years) 

Camp Counselors oversee a small team of CITs while leading a group of campers through the camp process. During the process, they coordinate with Directors, Instructors and Staff on class exercises, rehearsals and projects. They are present and actively involved backstage at all performances and assist with student drop-off and pick-up. Successful applicants demonstrate practical, professional skills and behavior with interest in theatre education. Counselor positions are available for Camp Casa and Camp Casa Jr. Counselors are paid a $250/week stipend for Camp Casa and $125/week stipend for Camp Casa Jr. See Calendar for camp dates and times. We are especially interested in candidates who are available for Camp Casa and all 4 sessions of Camp Casa Jr.  

Production Internships: 16+ 

Interns work alongside theatre professionals in their departments. Some knowledge of the department of interest is necessary. This is an unpaid internship but is eligible for school credit depending on your program.

Administrative Internships: 16+

Interns work alongside professionals in their departments. Scheduling is flexible and available for the summer. This is an unpaid internship but is eligible for school credit depending on your program.

Applicants must have reliable transportation to and from Casa Mañana. Housing is not provided. Applications may apply to work on one or multiple camps or productions but must commit to the entirety of that session. Weekend work may be required. 

Camp Casa Jr. (Counselors and CITs)
Camp Casa Jr. is a series of 1-week camps for 4-8 year olds. Students will use their voice, body and imagination to explore in a fun, creative environment. Final presentations are held the last day of each session.

All sessions of Camp Jr. are Monday – Friday, 9am-12:30pm.

Camp Casa (Counselors, CITs, Production and Education)
High School Musical Jr.
June 26 – July 16 with performances July 14-16 
Camp Casa is a 3-week camp for students ages 8-14 of all backgrounds and experience levels to participate in professional arts training. New performers will have fun exploring musical theatre, while all young actors are able to hone their skills under the instruction of professional teachers. In addition to rehearsing and producing a full-length show, campers will take classes in acting, music, and dance. Best of all, every performer will have the opportunity to perform on Casa’s main stage. 

Camp is Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm. Counselors work 8:30am-5:30pm. Camp performances are on the final weekend. Call times are TBD. 

Miss Saigon (Production and Administrative) 
Miss Saigon is part of the Broadway Series at Casa Mañana. Rehearsals begin May 22, with performances June 1-11. Hours for this production are determined by the rehearsal and performance schedule. Weekend work will be required. 

Apprentice Program: A Man of No Importance (Production and Administrative)
A Man of No Importance is the summer production of the Apprentice Program, a program for elite performers ages 14-19. Rehearsals begin July 17, with performances August 4-6. Hours for this production are determined by the rehearsal and performance schedule. Weekend work will be required. 

Resume of theatre work and/or leadership experience with at least 3 references listed.
